The 2023 Kaufman Harvest Festival will be held on October 14, 2023, on the Kaufman Downtown Square!
This annual festival celebrates the community and entertains visitors and residents. The parade begins the excitement at 9:00 a.m. and includes more than 100 entries. There will be family-friendly activities and vendors on the Downtown Square from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The music festival will be held on the Downtown Square and feature performances from some of Texas music’s hottest emerging and established artists.

Scarecrow Contest
Cute, Creepy, or anything in between! Show off your creativity! The City of Kaufman and the Kaufman Downtown Merchants have partnered together to put on a community-wide scarecrow decorating contest. We are inviting all businesses and residents in and around Kaufman to participate!
To enter the contest, decorate/make a scarecrow, display them in front of your business/home, then submit a picture of your scarecrow, along with your name and address to Kaufmancitysec@kaufmantx.org by October 6th. All entries will be posted on Facebook on October 9th. You can vote on your favorite by liking their photo. Voting will close on October 13th at 5 p.m. The winners will be announced at the Kaufman Harvest Festival on October 14th.
Winners will be selected from three categories, commercial/business, residential, and outside city limits. There will be prizes for the 1st place winners in each categories.
Scarecrows may be traditional, whimsical, humorous, mischievous, or loveable. Only HOMEMADE scarecrows will be accepted. Bloody/violent themed, political, or religious statements are not allowed. This is a family-friendly event and the City of Kaufman reserves the right to disqualify any entry.
