Shannon Park is located at the corner of Barnes and Shannon Streets. Shannon Park is a 2.2-acre neighborhood park that has been a cherished part of the Kaufman community since its establishment in 1937. Over the decades, it has seen numerous improvements, with the most recent renovations significantly enhancing its amenities and appeal. These updates include the addition of a colorful splash pad for summer fun, a new shaded picnic area, and a revitalized basketball court now covered for year-round use. A 0.25-mile walking trail was also installed, providing a pleasant path for walking and exercise. The park features three shaded areas, multiple picnic tables, grills for outdoor cooking, a playground for children, and a basketball court—making it a well-rounded destination for family gatherings, recreation, and community enjoyment.
Shannon Park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Splash Pad is open from Memorial Day through the end of September.
